you have a lot of bending stress on the engine side of the tube and sharp corners, I'd personally put a small web in there. I've made similar but with 3 inch 3mm wall thickness tube which is a common home made type

It's not that pipe is stronger but just I'd use a larger diameter, you have room on that engine plate for maybe a 2 inch tube, at about 3mm it will be as stiff as that 33mm pipe being solid bar.

These are mounts I made for the old v6, these didn't even bend in 30mph crash and the tube was not much thicker than exhaust tubing, there was a captive nut welded to the bottom plate before I welded on the tube and the rubber mount simply hand wound on

If you use a round rubber mount I think it looks better if the plate that bolts to it is also round.

I would use 2in (either round or square) purely to get more weld area to take the stress.

I'm going to make a plate that goes onto the rubber, in the picture it is just placed together and only 1 weld has been done as I ran out of gas
