Well I finally got the s2000 engine started up as a test to see how loud my home made exhaust is. Wires everywhere and a plastic bottle with the fuel
pump sat in and me tweaking the throttle by hand on the sender unit as its still on the standard stuff.
I'm going to tidy a few bits up like exhaust springs and radiator pipes then trim all the redundant bits of loom out.

I'd be pleased with that too.
Cheers, yeah happy it’s not got immobiliser issues etc. I want this car on the road in March so lots to do.
Next job bodywork, fibreglass, prop, floor pan, loom, pedal box, rear callipers, glass/Perspex, tank, rack/column, finish exhaust, bolt in seats,
harness points. I need some mint kitten rear lights as mine are a bit tired.
Hope to have the shell in primer soon.
Don't get me wrong, I know I have no chance of being ready for March.
good luck!
Cheers Dan,
I've been stripping the loom down a bit today. It still runs ok although I have had a few head scratching moments as I’ve removed needed wires
and had to re trace my steps and re-fit, soldering as I go.
All working and as a test, I popped it into gear to simulate the car being on the road to see if it would set off any limp mode errors, but blipped
the throttle and dash went up to over 200 mph (no prop attached) with no problems so I hope wiring wise another couple of weeks and I should be there.
There has to be an easier way of doing this, but I’ve only really spent about 8hrs stripping the loom so as long as I don’t cock it up it will be
worth it. Cheers.
