Had an early start this morning.
Got the Velocity loaded on a car transporter and drove it from Gatwick to Hereford to see the nice guys at RAW.
Lots of work planned including the fitting of a Rotrex Supercharger, OMEX 600 ECU and DigiDash2.
Can't wait to see what power it will produce. The Rotrex on a standard 4AGE 20v Silver top increases power to c225bhp. My car has already had
fast road cams and has been flowed and ported. Its not clear what impact this will have (good or bad) but I'm hoping for anywhere between
225-250bhp. Gulp.
Can't wait to have it back....fingers crossed we have a good summer.
Pop into tesco on the way home....
I would expect you will get more than 250. Dopdog (I think) aswell as my car prior to the engine change (BimbleUK) was pushing 270bhp with rotrex
,OMEX and 20V combinations.
Happy times.
By the way, what PSI does the rotrex hit at full RPM?
When you get it back we will have to get on a track day, ill try and keep up!!
Ported head will help, fast road cams will likely reduce gains of the boost due to overlap.
That sounds very nice, should make for an interesting drive, plenty of power,
I bet that's costing a bit?
Also guys Martin and Calum are nice guys to work with,
Can't wait to see results,
Another upgrades needed to take the power or all ie gearbox etc?
Its costing plenty, I've not actually worked out the exact cost but I suspect many have built entire cars for much less.
I've no idea on the PSI for the Rotrex, I'll find out when I get the car back.
I'm worried about the overlap issue, worst case scenario is they put standard cams back in which would be a shame. If that happens then
I'll have cams, a full set of ETB gauges, OMEX 500 (and loom) plus so nice induction trumpets for sale very soon.
That might offset the cost (a little).

I have no idea of the supercharger outcomes, so my words are not worth a great deal....
..however, my direct experience of turbocharging engines with 'race levels' of overlap is that it actually helped to cool things down a bit.
OK, the emmissions and fuel consumption weren't road useable, but hell, they weren't anyway.
GSXR1000 - GT28
My Zetec runs high lift cams, pistons/rods & race head with a Rotrex and makes 340BHP. The Rotrex in the Zetec kit makes around 15psi at max revs.
