Any recommendations as to where to get the above from?

Focus 2.0 16V Zetec Timing Cam Belt Kit &' Water Pump | eBay

is one from ebay likely to be rubbish, should I stick to OEM.

also any recommendations for main and big end bearings?

I have always got belt kits off the bay, Gates/oe only though.

Gates, Continental, etc - only a well trusted brand IMHO. Too much to risk by going cheap.

I have had kits in the past from Gates, Continental and Ford. Not had an issue with any. But if you compare the tooth profile of the genuine Ford one with the pattern part (and Gates and Continental are as good as it gets) it is slightly different. Because of that I would only fit and recommend genuine Ford belts in future. The few £'s extra they might cost is nothing when you consider the time they will be fitted to the engine.

Bought an SKF kit for 70 quid ish from carpartsforless with a couple of idler pulleys so I can install my alternator.
