does anyone have any pictures of how they done there clutch pedal using and escort mk 2 pedal?
i have a few ideas floating round but id like ideas of how to get more leverage on the clutch pedal to make it easier to engage and disengage the
clutch i havnt actually tried any because i sort of only want to do it once
and i want to use the original clutch pedal to score me more points when trying to using the donor cars registration. i have already done the brake
pedal which was easy peasy.
I did mine like this:

I made a new pedal box using the original Escort pedals, spindles and bushes. I kept the leverage the same as the donor, but I modified the top of the
clutch pedal slightly, rotating it to change the angle of the cable while maintaining the correct pull.

Oh, and you won't be able to use the donor registration. The points system is only relevant if you are using the donor chassis. You may be able
to get an age related plate if you use two major donor components in a new chassis though. Otherwise it'll be a Q plate.

okay thanks that looks like a good set up
does it provide enough leverage to engage and disengage the clutch with ease?
i plan to use the adjustable cable off the sierra and rs2000 i believe that has adjustment at the gearbox end and has an eyelet for a pint or bolt at
the pedal on so i will be welding on a bracket to put a bolt through.
i dont really know alot about getting plates for it or anything and im quite a distance from that stage at the minute anyway
i was hoping to be able to find a steel clutch quadrant for the cable to run on so i could cut and weld it onto the pedal but there all plastic so i
might cur ir and make some brackets to hold it to the peddle. just thought it might be better with a quadrant.
what do you reckon?
Yes it gives the same leverage as in the Escort. Ford probably spent a lot of money getting the leverage right so it seemed reasonable to not change
it.

The pedal box does not make any difference for points towards age related registration

States new or original kit conversion chassis/ monocoque and 2 other major parts from donor will get age related
All bit from donor rate 2 points except engine which is 1 point, kit chassis/ body scores 5
