Propshaft for MT75 Gearbox
John P - 27/3/13 at 05:39 PM

I'm really just researching this but what prop will I eventually need with an MT75 gearbox and Sierra Diff.

There seem to be some people using the front "Rubber" doughnut whilst others replace it with a machined steel disc.

I've also heard about using a transit flange and landrover prop.

I was looking at this on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321091989186&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNA:GB:1123

but assume it would still need considerable modification as presumably I need a single piece prop.

Any advice,

John.

I used the flange below from Bailey Morris, a Land Rover front prop for the sliding joint, and the back section from an MGB for my Zetec engined B. You could do the same with the sierra rear section.
But.
If I were doing it again I'd just send the measurements to Bailey Morris and get a custom made properly balanced prop.

This is an interesting thread......

I have a Westfield SEIW with a Duratec 2L. It has an MT75 with a donought which apparently is difficult to get these days. Where is it from?
