Engine for a Seven
kamikaze - 26/9/02 at 05:52 AM

I´m building a "chapman 7" and have a problem...
Ive been offerd to buy two different engines and can´t decide which one to buy...
It´s one from a Celica 2,0 -77
and one from a Fiat 124sport

Which one is to Prefeer?

FIAT....Fix It Again Tommorow! what size engine is it? is it the TC? if so you will need to make sure you have enough height in the car for it, the Celica...ok but why not go for a Toyota 4age 1600? much better engine.

In which Toyota´s can i find the 4age-engine?

Findlay234 - 26/9/02 at 09:42 AM

corolla 1.6 16v, such as the gti's and gt's. also youll find it in the old 1.6 mr2.

ull find the 4 age in the corrola and the mr2

kamikaze - 26/9/02 at 10:44 AM

Why is the corolla engine better than the 2.0 celica?

redeye - 26/9/02 at 10:53 AM

cos the corrola is 130 bhp and the celica is 150 on 20bhp more but the celica is a lot heavier plus u r gonna have difficulty finding the right gearbox for the celica

i could have bought a celica for 50 swuid thats runs perfectly but because of this decided not to

but at the end of the day its up to u

ps. the celica is a 3 sge engine

Now I know.....
It doesn´t seems that the 4age were sold in sweden
