Hi all could you nice people tell me the sizes of piper cross universal trumpet socks? Length - diameter and size of hole for the trumpets. My trumpets are 65mm in diameter will they fit ok? Also how far do they stick of the end of the trumpets. They are in Burton powers catalogue part number C1050. Thanks - Jacko

Have you not thought of making your own back plate and fitting a one piece Piper-X filter. The plates are cheap and once on it looks the dogs! + it works properly with ram pipes
If you want I could mail you a pic of my installation on a CBR1000. Plates can be got from Dave Lloyd Rallying, somewhere in Wales.

i would try to steer you away from "socks" too, at the risk of starting a war there ok-ish at filtering but not up there in terms of power.

Base plate is the way to go.

Thankyou for your replies I have just ordered a pair of socks. The reason I am using socks on ram pipes is because im using twin su's and the type of filter your talking about is not practcal for the application I have. Thanks Jacko
