inlet gasket sealer?
beaver34 - 10/7/13 at 11:34 AM

am i ok to use some form of silicone sealer for mating my throttle bodies to my cylinder head?

if so what do people use?

thanks

No, Lambdas don't like silicone, no matter how little it will get through and contaminate.

I use Stagg Wellseal, just the lightest smear around the ports and waterways, and never had a leaker yet.

thanks guys, will pick some up tonight,

is that preferable to using gasket paper?

Loctite do an O2 sensor safe sealant. Most factors will sell it.

I use a paper gasket to cut my own gakets and some sealant to make sure.

I use Wellseal as well as gasket paper.
