zx9r (e) carb float bowl screw thread?
blakep82 - 20/8/13 at 11:45 PM

Anyone know what the thread on these is?
For some reason I always find they're so soft, and quite hard to take out, the heads get pretty chewed up :-(

Considering changing them all for something like cap head screws or something. Stainless or plain, just something a bit harder
Good idea? Bad idea?

brilliant, thank you!
the heads just keep chewing up every time i try and remove then, and when setting these up properly, they'll be in and out a lot i imagine. rather have something a bit tougher to replace them now, before i can't get them out at all

looked on ebay, saw some stainless ones as sold as Keihin float bowl screws, pack of 4 for £4.99...
or a pack of 20 screws for £2.50 free post, yeah, go on then lol

I know the feeling as I had the same problem but was lucky as I have another set spare in the shed so stole the good ones.

I may get some new ones though just to make it better in case of future issues.
