Hi
I have aquired a set of Keihin CVK V421 CF07 bike carbs.
Would these make a good conversion for a 1600 xflow? Googling does not provide much info.
If they would I will a have a set of twin 40s up for grabs.
Thanks

What size are they?
36mm dia.
Think they are off a 1000cc bike.
That sounds about right - Mine are 38mm on a 2.0 Zetec and work really well.
Any advice for fitting, jetting & filters etc
Moss
There are a couple of options for fitting - the easiest is leave them spaced as they are and get a manifold made from someone like Fastdan on here or
Bogg brothers.
Alternatively you tou make your own manifold or respace the carbs and use bike carb rubbers to bolt to a manifold plate like I did, depending on what
bits you can get to fit those carbs. Knowiung which bike they were off would help.
For the filter a px600 type backplate and filter will work fine.
For jets it is a matter of trial and error and also a question of getting the needle height right. Either way you will ultimately need at least
wideband AFR meter and ideally a rolling road session to get the mixture set up properly.
Doa search on setting up bike carbs and you should find some good info on how they work.

Hi stu
Thanks.
Been doing a bit of googling & reading up. My head hurts!

With the jets, they can be drilled out so worth getting a few fine drill bits. Mine ended up as 1.6mm.

sounds like the carb's are the right size, but it might help you get spares etc. if you can find out which bike they came from
