Hi,
Now ive bought a engine....
Its a escort 1,6 XR3I engine and a sierra 5speed gearbox..
Next problem...
Which flywheel and pressure plate will fit?
mt75 or type 9?
Keep the xr3 flywheel and clutch cover and use a cortina 1600 clutch plate or early sierra plate the dia is 7.5 inch and has 23 splines.

Canīt i just redrill a sierra flywheel?
And use both flywheel and clutchplate from the sierra engine?
your 'nom de plume' (kamikaze) would be very appropriate!
You're talking about a fairly heavy lump spinning at 6K+ rpm - any imbalance or weakness would be very 'exciting'.

not into french, latin whatever......
but the flywheel failures iv'e seen, seem ok and survivable as long as its not mounted transverse, there was a guy killed when a rear engined
tranverse engined flywheel gave way during a grass track race.....since then regs have changed a little....armour req'd between flywheel n drivers
back..... having said that propery drilled and balanced, after all they al have to be drilled at some time......i would run one....
Possibly , but why bother? surely it is easier to buy a clutch plate for Ģ15 and fit it to the existing flywheel and clutch cover. It would cost more
to have the flywheel rebalanced after drilling it.
