Not exactly first start because I ran it last year just to make sure it ran. It's in permanently now and has just moved under it's own power
for the first time ever. Sort of pleased. Cooling kicks in when it should. Starts first time. No leaks etc.
However it doesn't want to rev. Bogs when you first blip the throttle. When you get past that it's misfiring badly. Plugs are very sooty.
It's a 2L zetec with homemade plenum and running an R1 can. Original ECU (DEEP) with pretty much all the sensors Ford use except P/S switch,
Purge etc.
Any thoughts? Please don't tell me to put it on diagnostics because I've cut all the plugs off.

Thats the sort of symptom you get if a throttle position sensor or map sensor isn't supplying a signal to the ecu..
I can tell you that the black top Tps on the throttle body gives a different value to that of the silvertop. It gives a flat spot but it does still
run.
Other thing to look for is air leaks. If the ecu thinks its running lean it will stick more juice in. I like the newer ecu's because of the
diagnostics but it can still run like a dog and not show a code.

Just been out and checked a silvertop TPS with a Blacktop TPS
Silvertop 3.6k ohm (idle) -- 0.25k ohm (wot)
Blacktop 4.6k ohm (idle)-- 1.25k ohm (wot)
This could be the problem. Unfortunately they're not interchangeable and I gave away my silvertop throttle body.
No its not "the problem" but does give a flat spot on the road. Ive still done one for a guy that passed iva no problem.
It will be an air leak, a sensor down, or a wiring fault to the sensor that appears to be down.
I'm not seeing 12v at the MAF. Will have a look tomorrow.

it needs the maf to calculate the fuel so it will most likely be that.
You've got to be a special kind of stupid to wire a plug like this.
