Hi All.
Any body out there know of a switch that I can use for a launch control/ no throttle lift gear change. I have been messing around with a brake light
switch, controlled by the clutch peddle, how ever there is not enough travel in the various brake switches I have looked at. And as soon as you touch
the clutch it actuates the rev limit, same when changing up, you have to take all of the pressure off of the clutch before normal revs resume, I am
sure it is just a matter of the travel. Any suggestions gratefully received.
Omex do a clutch switch for their 'Speed system' that ive used in the past, works fine. When I wanted another I think I got the spare from Demon Tweeks although its not shown in their catalogue. Has nice long travel :-)
i use long armed micro switch, can be wired both ways for push on or relase to activate system, works perfectly and was about £3
if you fancy the omex item ive got one of them spare too somewhere
+1 about the microswitch, see if you can mount it so that part of the pedal mechanism comes past it at the bite point, slotted holes for any change in bite point over time.

Thanks all.
, had not thought about he micro switch route was just looking at auto kit with the blinkers on.
On my car i found that it was much easier to get the switch point in the right place by mounting it close to the clutch arm pivot point, then the
total arm travel isn't that much.
