what EFI? V6 bi-turbo

Got an Audi V6 Bi-turbo 2.7L for my 'caddy' project, got all the engine side wiring, however everything's a total mess, and i'd rather simplify it a bit.
My options so far are:
1 - get a standard ECU, hope it plugs together, then have someone remove immobiliser, dash, ABS etc etc

2 - standalone EFI.
Now I have no idea what i need, i've never tinkered with petrols.
I would be happy enough with a relatively simple system for now, (assuming it's not too expensive) and upgrade at a later date if necessary
Just wondering what the recommendations are?
Only setup made for the engine I know of is 034's, which is like $1400. Ouch.
megasquirt looks interesting as a DIYable tuning thing, and not extortionate

The stock Bosch ECU is way more sophisticated than any after market ECU and is designed to work with this engine. Much more sensible to get someone to turn off what you don't need in the stock ECU (MRC Tuning at Banbury) than to start trying to get a Megasquirt to work. The other alternative is Dyalynx did a Motec conversion for this motor.

I don't really want anything complicated though, stock ecu has so much unnecessary garbage with it. In that case where/who could I get to modify a stock ecu then?

Speak to Doug or Mihnea at MRC Tuning in Banbury

I am a big fan of oem ecu's. As said way more advanced, being an audi it can probably be mapped and soooooo much less dosh.

As long as you have some sort of interface to see live data and fault codes then I would try and keep the standard ecu especially on a turbo engine . Mapping a turbo engine needs some knock protection and not many stand alones have knock monitoring that doesn't need a lot of messing to set up

Alright cheers guys, will acquire one and try and make some sense of what seems to be te most complicated engine ever!

second question, where to get the ECU decoded, as in have all the un-necessary crap removed?
Any recommended places?
