Vibration turning left

Hi Guys,

On my Sylva Striker (inbound suspension) I seem to have wheel vibration on my O/S front wheel.
I notice it accelerating above 20mph, seems to ease off above 70ish.

If i turn left (loading the right) the vibration worsens.
If i turn right (loading the left) the vibration disappears.

I'm thinking it could be one of the following:

1. Control arm bush
2. Wheel bearing (wheel still appears cold after driving though).
3. Wheel balance (was ok before but maybe i've lost a weight or two?)

Any ideas welcomed of what i should be looking for....

Think I'd jack the front and check everything for play, loose bolts, bulged tire. Spin the wheels and see how the bearings sound/feel and give the wheels a wobble to check bearing play. If nothing obvious I'd get the wheels balanced. Might work

cheers guys, checked the wheel bolts, all fine.
Took the split pin off the bearing nut, may have been loose, have tightened it up in any case.
Checked all bolts etc and tightened.

Took for a drive... no different

Have got the wheel off now and will take to the tyre shop tomorrow, although i'm thinking there may be a bit more to it...

Could it be a brake pad rattling about? My OSF squeals a bit, it changes depending on steering angle (in my case I think it's a sticking caliper, I've had it before)

You have left some play in it haven't you? Too tight (no play) will soon ruin the bearing.

If the wheel balance is OK then start looking for something that might rub/touch. Engine or gearbox very close to the chassis anywhere?

it feel very mechanical to me.
would a brake cause the vibration only on one side?
Also same with engine/gearbox mounts etc, would it tend to vibrate only when turning one way?

Again, completely disappears when i turn right and send all the weight onto the left hand side of the car

swap wheels and try? if it swaps sides its the wheel.

If the engine/box is close to the chassis at one point it could move towards the chassis as the mounts flex when cornering one way and away when going the other way. It wouldn't be the first time it'd happened.

I had the rubber on the gearbox mount separate once. It stated by making a bit of noise on RH corners but very quickly it became very noisy. Took a bit of finding, it was the front UJ grinding away at the tunnel.

Only happened on RH corners since the prop was not central in the tunnel (not supposed to be).

Had a weld crack on an engine mount once as well. Initially thought it was the alternator bearings. It took some finding did that one.
