Hi All,
I'm currently running a Tiger Supercat with the standard fitment silencer, however the dbs on our last outing at Mallory reached 102db.
Been thinking about the exhaust system and wanted to come up with an effective design..
I want straight through baffles rather than anything that might restrict the gasses. Thinking this design which will use the old style cheery bomb
type silencers.
What do you guys think?
" target="_blank">Exhaust option
How about a Vortex silencer?
Saw the Cobra on wheelerdealers get these and passed Iva.
Some other benefits to be had from them as well so ive heard.
Heavy and too many restrictive curves.
What about a larger can with more sound deadening.
Living in the home of the Thrush cherry bomb I have used them since the 60's but only to be heard.

This here is exactly what you want: http://www.raceco.com/silencers.html
Ive got one fitted to my R1 powered VortX, and it really reduces the sound. Its very light too

Mine is about the size of Daveys (ooerr) but not titanium
Not sure where it came from (big_wasa on here built the car).
Mines a 2.0 zetec on bodies (168bhp so certainly not restrictive?). I was tested at Elvington at less than 94db static (3/4 max rpm) and I also never
tripped any drive-by monitors either.
Thanks for the replies chaps.
Made me think again about what's going to be best for me. Currently looking at Baffle design to work with single silencer.
Cheers
Paul
