Brake pedal is virtually soilid and needs stamping on to get the brakes to meet MOT criteria.
Standard Sierra set up but with red stuff pads up front no compensator in line to the rear all cylinders appear to be free and not seized brake pedal
travels to the floor when bleed nipple is open so master cylinder not seized

Is this a problem that you have always had or something that has developed over time?
Ive always had to stand on them not needed to use them in anger so the tester has got me thinking
One culprit could be the red stuff pads. I couldn't get green stuff up to temperature to give much braking on my car. Change them for mintex m1144 for a start. Then see if you still have a problem.
Unless you are doing track days or racing you really shouldn't use anything other than standard road pads that work from cold as the brakes
should not get hot enough to warrant anything else.
BTW that also applies to people doing Hillclimb and Sprint competition.
Red Stuff are awful pads imo,would never use them again.Crap bite when cold and once warm cool off again easily.
Yellow Stuff are much better I'm finding in my daily now
but why does the pedal seem solid there is virtually no travel I have considered fitting a remote servo to give a feeling tht I have applied the brakes
What pedal leverage ratio do you have - should be at least 5:1

Read on here somewhere the Sierra MC is too big(22mm IIRC)and a few people say a 19mm MC gives a better pedal feel
using standard MK pedals not sure of leverage
