I need to separate the tie bar end from the steering rack.
The Haynes book suggests a pipe wrench, but it doesn't want to budge.
Although the Haynes book doesn't mention it, it looks like the part has been dressed over into a slot.
Can anyone give me advice on how to proceed?
I will try and get some pictures up. Nothing works

Theyre very tight
I use good quality stilsons
Failing that can you carefully grind two flats on it so you can use a spanner

Or get someone with another pair of grips to hold the rack while you undo the track rod
