Caterham K-Series Oil Take-Off Thingy
scootz - 10/12/14 at 08:33 PM

Can anyone help in identifying this oil take-off block on my Caterham K Supersport engine please?

It has three ports - one either side and a small one on the face.

Not sure what advantage is over a standard set-up...

Can't say for sure, but it's not anything to do with the Apollo oil separator tanks they fit on this engine?

Someone might come along and answer for sure I hope

Its the oil adaptor for the remote oil filter mounting. Required for Mg installation as the oil outlet is very close to the suspension top arm and the standard one will not fit. It is manufactured by frontline.

I have been after one for some time. Fit your engine and see what your clearance are.

Sway you for a standard oil filter mounting and some cash

This place... LOL!

I've plenty of room, so I'm sure we can come to some arrangement for it to head down your way Femi... deposit on a 6-speed box perhaps?

Haha, pressure. Have you not had any luck sourcing another box?

Are the outlet threaded as is in the picture

femster87 - 10/12/14 at 09:48 PM

Most definitely. I have 2 dibs at the moment and you are first inline. Thanks
