V6 exhaust link pipe size?

The main tubing is 2". How small can you go in link pipe diameter? 38mm would be easier to run than 2"and could be in Polylock.

From the research I've been doing for mine, it appears you want to keep it as large as possible (up to the system diameter). I guess go with the maximum you can fit.

Out of interest where are you putting your link pipe? I'm figuring it'll have to be after the collectors and run under the car on mine.

I'm running it under the sump, and as you say after the collectors, I have fitted the X-Type/Mondeo sump, there is a cut out under the sump that the front drive cars use for the front pipe to run towards the back.

Oh! that's the first I've heard of polylock. I've seen flexible hose but it always had packing in between the corrugations and the polylock page says it is packing free. Is it readily available?

Does it weld OK?

Cheers!

Available on eBay, but, strangely, the cheapest I have found is Car Builders Solutions
It welds fine and is sold by the ID, it can be twisted to slightly increase/decrease the bore size. It is smooth inside and out, I believe it clamps up on a pipe without leaking.

I'm doing another option for my link pipe. I'm not using one at all, as such, but instead I'll be using a X piece in the exhaust down stream of the collectors. It should help a little bit more with the scavenge effect and saves me having to fart about with a link pipe.
