Morning folks,


I have used a set of RC engineering 440cc injectors into my Blackbird tbs - Scootz had 4 inserts made up which profile the bottom of the injector, but the issue I have is I am not convinced the injectors are going to seal. They just don't look right.

I'm not that sure which seals I need, RC engineering were helpful until they realised I was in the UK, then just ignored my emails. They are likely to accept Honda seals as they share the profile of Civic/Acura injectors. Mr Injector on eBay has now popped me in the "not interested" tray and isn't answering me.


Ideally I'd like them to not spray fuel all over my car when I go live, and I'd definitely like them pressure tested on a rig before I use them.


Who in the UK supplies inj seals, doesn't mind answering emails, and would accept a clarty little job of supplying seals and pressure testing it all nailed together, somewhere NE would be brilliant so I can visit.

Ok that looks like a fairly standard sort of set up.

The lower seal just tends to be a thick section O ring. You could pressure test by blanking off all the inlets and pressurising with and bicycle pump up to about 2 Bar and checking for leaks with soapy water.

I used Mr Injector UK or tel 07860350390 when I wanted advice and cleaning on the hairdressers injectors.
He is pretty clued up and hold large stocks of injectors, seals etc.

That's a vacuum seal, simple O ring not under fuel pressure.
The O ring seal at the other end is the critical one.
The injector should no be clamped down too firmly, most will rotate under finger pressure.

Would the alloy insert need sealing ? They appear to be interference fit in the TB.


Mr Injector stopped answering my emails, however I will ring him as he was pretty clued up I agree, and seems to have everything to hand.



Noted re not tightening them up too much, top seal is an O Ring and then there's a dust sealing ring below it. Scootz had spacers made up which are on the mounting studs, I matched/dressed them up with a file, so they are more or less the same. Initially one pair felt clamped, while the other two were loose. This is now sorted.
