Type 2 release bearing

Hi,

To remove the clutch release bearing from a Type 2 gearbox do I just pull it as hard as I can? Or does it twist etc?

Thanks
Jon

If you pull the clutch fork outward releasing it from it's pivot, pull the bearing off the shaft. I tink

Arghhh! It doesn't seem to want to budge. I've pulled the bearing out and now the fork is held in by a plastic inner bearing part with wings. It doesn't seem to turn and I can't pull the fork away from the pivot pin.

Help!

If the fork is released from the pivot,as you pull the bearing(and carrier) the fork will come out with the bearing

It's not released from the pivot, doesn't seem to move left or right and pulling out the other side hits the bell housing

A screwdriver between the plastic bit of the carrier and the clutch arm will pop the carrier/bearing off.
