Dear Collective,
Looking for a bit of knowledge as to how transferable parts are between an MK Indy and a Tiger Avon. The parts I am thinking about in particular are
propshaft (are they the same length?) and Exhaust system (it comes off a Zetec so would there be any issue putting it on an Avon)?
Any advice/thoughts/knowledge appreciated.
Cheers,
Ian
Depends where the engine is sat in the chaSsis to the lengths etc.
The tiger is much narrower and shorter than the MK.
If you are in a position to start with no engine in you may make the prop and manifold fit.
But the prop isn't too expensive to buy new.

I don't have an engine fitted as it is currently fitted to the propshaft and exhaust system in question. So I should be able to make them fit do you think ?
Do not see why not, if it's an over the top rail exhaust system should be an easy fit,
Prop well if you have not made the engine mounts then you should be able to position the engine where you want to make it fit, so you are in the best
position here to make it how you want so it will all line up and fit,
Go for it there a good engine,
Commitment made. Thanks guys 😀
Good luck. Trial fit the engine with the prop attached and adjust the chassis around it. Try it to have the engine sitting much lower than the chassis but if possible fit the bonnet so you know you have room.
Sounds like a plan. I don't have a bonnet yet though. I will just need to measure measure measure.
