Can someone provide me a engine number for my Zetec Blacktop 2.0 ??
I need one for the registration of my car in Belgium.

Where did you get the engine from? Number should be on the block flange, exhaust side next to the gearbox.

It is a new engine, they dont have a engine number when you buy them.

Ford intend you to stamp the number of the old engine when you swap thus avoiding issues with the VIN which on a Ford includes the engine number.

Surely you can make up a suitable number using suitable letters at the beginning to conform its age (it would have been manufactured in 2004 like all crate engines on sale) and a series of numbers.
