Hiya, can anyone highlight any glaring differences I should be aware of regarding the MZR/Duratec engines?
I may have the chance of my bro's old 2003 Mazda6 and from my internet research I've deduced:

a) its essentially a Duractec (HE?)
b) the only RWD gearbox that will bolt straight on is from an NC MX-5

Anyone used an MZR with standard ECU etc?
Not sure what the plan is yet, (cheap is good!) but any pointers welcome.

I am running that engine with a stock ECU.... but it's actually still in the 2007 Mondeo that I bought!!

I asked a question about the reliability of the Duratec HE, do a search and see what responses I got.
