Swirl Pot

I'm fitting a MK supplied plastic tank, from PTM. Has anyone else used this tank with fuel injection? It is fitted with a small swirl pot at the bottom, but only about the size of an aerosol lid, will I need to fit a larger 1.5-2ltr swirl pot/lift pump to feed the injection pump and stop fuel serge?

I've made loads of these types of tank especially for Robin Hood owners as well as quite a few for MK, including Busa' engines with EFI. Never had one come back and say it doesn't work, the exact opposite in fact. If, and I mean IF it's not working then I can allways fit a larger pot. Don't forget the tank is also baffled!

Thanks, I'll go with it as it is, will save cost and hassle of extra pump etc.

HI guys,

I'm building an injected car and would be interested in one of these tanks. Can you tell me how much they cost and how I can get one??

Pretty simply swilpot can be made by
using a small peice of tube and capping
each end and fitting I have a link somewhere

I will see if i can dig it out.

If its any comfort I'm using said tank on my 2.0i Pinto with Fr34 cam. I've not had any problems so far. The fuel pump is mounted on the rail near the top rear wishbone mount on my Indy. Take heed regarding fuel pump inlet filter on a prevoius post though
