In line fuel pump pre filter
Mikef - 1/12/15 at 10:59 AM

Morning All.

Knocking up a new system using an in line pump. The pump has a 12 mm inlet, which is what I have put in the tank and an 8mm outlet. The issue I am having is finding a pre high flow / low pressure filter that has 12mm push fit at both ends. There are one or two US ones around but silly money . Any thoughts on please.

I used a Sytec Bullet Filter http://www.glencoeltd.co.uk/sytec-fuel-filters-swirl-pots-water-separators/sytec-motorsport-fuel-filters-bullet/bullet-fuel-filter-1-4npt-female-red/ which is available with an assortment of fitting including 12mm. More expensive than an off the shelf filter but the elements are easy to replace and are cheap, under a fiver.

Big Thanks for this. Had seen the Sytec , did not realise they went up to 12 mm , will also have a look at the Cosworth.

I got one of these with 12mm barbs on, cheaper than the rest.

The SYTEC one looks very much like the OE Rover 200/400 one with some adapters.

like this;
