Has anybody converted a 5GT turbo engine into a rwd locost?

Is it a reasonable thing to do?

I seem to remember people saying that the old Volvo 3 series used renault engines mated to a RWD gearbox - could be an option.

It would make a cracking car as the R5 engine is nice and compact.

volvo 340 1.4 has the correect bellhousing - its mated to a rear gearbox , which if used ina locost will stick in yer hip , altho ive never measured it with +4 chassis .

i dont know of any gearbox that fits these , so your stuck with rearbox or an adapter plate .
