Just about to embark on a stripdown and rebuild of a mates Ford Pinto from a Mk 2 Escort RS2000 he is restoring
I've come across a company called 'Gaskets for Classics' and just wondered if anybody had used them for gasket sets and/or head bolts
?
You can't beat Locostbuilder knowledge, so thought I'd ask here for any opinions on them
PM if you'd rather
Thanks

Your right there isn't much difference between them and Burtons and Burton service has always been really good to be fair
I noticed they were a UK company and just wandered if anybody had tried them
To be fair I'm sure it'll end up being Burtons for all the bits anyway
Nice to be working on an 'old school' engine to be honest, Have a bit of a soft spot for the Anchor
I have dealt with burton's over the past few weeks rebuilding a Xflow. They have been great. I couldn't find the bits cheaper, delivery has
been fast and after my issue with the head gasket they have been fantastic with returns too. They seem very knowledgeable on the phone too.
I ended up getting my HG from engineparts.co.uk. They stock some race parts for older engines so they maybe worth a chat for anything burton's
haven't got.
Just to add, I agree with loving the older engines. I have rebuilt a couple of zetecs and a bit of jap stuff over the years. My little Xflow was a
breathe of fresh air! Really enjoyable. I'm sure you will find the same. Just simple technology, love it!

Another vote for Gaskets for Classics, used them several times, decent quality kit and reliable service every time.
