Following me being booted off of brands earlier on in the year, and me actually not being too keen on the very raw loud induction noise, I am starting
to get together an alternative. I dont think I can improve on what I had too much in terms of design for power. It had the same trumpet lengths as the
stock car, longer than most to maximise torque as well as straight, large rad ends and a cold air feed due to the sausage filter poking through the
side of the bonnet.

My criteria for the next design:
- Try and optimise top end power as it is more track orientated and not road based (shorten trumpet length)
- Package under bonnet and nose cone to keep a smooth simple look, as well as reduce drive by noise
- Provide a good cold air feed to benefit from increased density, preferably taking air from a positive pressure zone (front of car
- Future proof any expensive or complex area so that when I come to SC the car I can use the majority of the same parts.
So this is as it stands:

So the route working backwards is I currently I have a 9mm MDF template as a backing plate for the GTiR plenum. This will be 5mm ali plate with 10mm
rads going into the ITBs . This is fed through a 90deg silicone hose from a Pipercross Vortex sealed air filter, from
another 90deg hose that collects the air from a custom GRP air duct. The incomplete buck is in the pic.
I am changing the cowling around the rad to be across the car, in the same orientation as the rad front face. there is a large letterbox opening that
is above the rad that the air duct funnels down to the first hose.
With the 90 bends and inline ITB feed I know its not perfect but dont think its too sad. My biggest concern is that I am now stealing air volume that
would normally be flowing through the water rad to feed the engine. This reduced rad air flow may knock onto cooling issues.
What are your thoughts?

My 50p worth. Optimum is keeping airflow in straight line, i see two 90 deg bends.
What is the black cylinder thing?
Im no expert but would be lookiing at putting a wide cowl with filter at front of car, filter could be angled to keep height low (look at volvo
8500, good for 220 bhp) then have feed straight into intake, like what you have but flipped over.

I'd be surprised if going from ITBs to a plenum based system gave an increase in top end power.
It's often the other way round.
Your inlet tracts are now probably too short to give any pulse tuning advantage at the revs you are likely to be using.
Get the supercharger fitted, however, and top end power won't be a problem.
It could be noisy though!

I've actually been sketching up plans to do something very similar and intend to fit a panel type airfilter in the front of the duct.
I have been thicking and looking at the idea of a panel filter and I just dont have the space. There is about 60mm gap from the top of the rad to the
underside of the nose cone. I would have to lay a panel filter pretty much horizontal to get it to fit.
Its mainly because of the accusump and I cant move that as there is nowhere to put it.
