Zetec bearings? same as duratec?
cliftyhanger - 3/11/16 at 07:01 AM

My parts search is slowly progressing, and I have realised it won't be cheap. Ho hum.

Anyway, looking through fleabay, many sellers list big end and main bearings that fit anything from mk5 escorts (zetec E) through mk1 mondeo/focus and the sae parts also fitting later mondeo/focus/c-max with the duratec engine (proper duratec, the all alloy one)

Is this correct or is it a sign the seller is clueless?
Info is remarkably hard to find

Cheers
Clive

clueless I'm afraid

look them up on burton in powers website / catalogue: http://www.burtonpower.com/ - not the cheapest place by any means but a good way to check fitments / part numbers at least

Duratec and Zetec are totally different bearing, be careful what and who you buy bearings from as lots of rubbish on sale and they are at the heart of the engine
