propshaft

Hi all
I been reading the Haynes restoration manual on escort and cortina and it mention that the 1100cc model have a one piece propshaft and the 1300cc have a two piece propshaft. Is the dimension different that I need to be aware of?

One thing to bear in mind is that the 1100 prop will have a smaller flange on the axle UJ.
I had the opposite situation and had to change the drive flange on my 1100 diff to suit the propshaft which had a capri or sierra size flange .

Propshaft Flange size has no connection engine size, it changed circa 1975 --- typical Ford no exact change over date but generally Mk2 Escorts use same flange as the Mk3+ Cortina, Sierra Mk2+ Capri.

My axle came from a 1978 mk2 1100 and had the smaller flange, unfortunately I didnt get the matching propshaft at the time .
