clogged fuel pump
tom_loughlin - 7/1/05 at 07:20 PM

after trawling through mud all day in my local scrappy, i got home with all the bits i needed to (hopefully get the engine running) only to find out my mechanical fuel pump isnt working (its one that runs off the cam, with a pusher pin thing).
is there an easy way to clear them out?
whats even more annoying is that the sierra in the scrappy i was gutting had a new one, but i thought why bother, after cleaning mine up a treat.
it used to work 6months ago, so i cant see a reason why it wont work now.
any ideas welcome.
cheers
Tom

thanks, i think ill give buying one a go tomorrow. im kinda tempted by the one in the scrappy, but as shiny as it is, it is prob clogged as well.
hopefully after that, the engine will go, and i can leave the car project on a high until easter.
thanks,
Tom
