Im looking for some advice on gearing for my track based zero.

current setup:

Ford sierra xr4i 7” LSD 3.92
Standard Type 9 gearbox
2.0 zetec soon to be st170

Im looking at buying a BGH Heavy duty gearbox but i know very little about gear ratios.

BGH offer a few vartiations on gearing and i know the diffs are availaible in other ratios but whats going to be the best track based setup?

I have been tempted to buy an upgraded diff or have the the original LSD rebuilt but I dont want to spend money on it if its the wrong ratio setup.

Can anyone advise me on the ideal gearing before i empty my pockets.

Also depends on your wheel and tyre combo

Wheel sizes are

195/50/15 front
205/45/15 rear

Sounds like the gearing looks good if you are getting the gearbox refurbished get a long first gear installed.

This is invaluable when looking at gear ratios
