My Mrs 2004 Mondeo has just decided to not go into reverse. When selecting reverse the indicator on the dash says R, feels like it is in neutral as when
revved up it just sits there. Drives as it should though all forward gears. Any ideas welcomed

has it done around 70,000 miles ?.
if so it,s probably the comon fault that the boxes suffer, back in the day there were no parts available for the box so no repair, only replacment
