Where to buy those aluminium trumpet inlets ?
Jeffers_S13 - 17/1/05 at 10:02 AM

Anyone know what I mean ? they are on the inlets for GT40's.

How thick are they and what sort of sizes are available ? and how much are they ?

As in this picture :

Think it might be ram pipes that I need now

Most decent tuning shops should sell them-Demon Tweeks, Rally Design etc. Make sure you get the correct ones though-Webers slide in, Dellortos are bolt on-cost around £10-15 each-so 4 needed for twin carb setups obviously.Length is important also.

After a bit more searching, this is exactly what Im hoping to replicate :

The ram pipes are really just to smooth flow into the headers, I need to do a bit of digging to determine dimensions. From other things Ive read, the volume of the headers should be the same as the cylinder volume and the plenum should be twice the engine capacity as a rule of thumb, bigger is better than smaller in each case ?
