Has anyone here made up a 'skid plate' to help protect the bottom edge of the bell housing.
The problem has been made worse by going down from 15" to 13" wheels and fitting a shallow ERA sump to the Zetec.
Thanks in advance,
Nick
Can you cut a slice off the bell housing, then make up a flat plate to stop any debris getting in?

Skid plate will still transmit shock through to the bell-housing though, if it's in direct contact with it. If you leave a gap you're
reducing ground clearance even more...
Personally i'd go for the setup where less stuff hit the floor!

Yes, I have seen others do that.
It would have to be a big slice though at 30mm

Doesn't matter how big it is,aslong as flywheel is not hanging out!
Can't you raise the engine and box at all?
My gearbox lower edge is 105mm from the floor, and ive never touched a thing with it, even speed humps,
so yours has to be lower than that to be of any risk
The Mt75 has a big lip making it probaly an inch nearer the floor than the t9. I cut mine down along with some of the webbing.
