I was hoping to fit an RX8 gearbox to my Stylus (it has a bigger than usual tunnel from the previous install), but I've measured up and it's not going to go in.

It looks like it'll be going down the typical Type 9 route, but wondered if there were any other (budget) options out there that I've missed?

It'll be going onto either a Zetec or crossflow, so standard bellhousing pattern.

Is that a 6 speed ? The five looks a little smaller.

Retro ford do a nice looking mk3 mx5 conversion.

There is a guy that uses the mk1+2 mx5 box with a home made adapter . If you can make an adapter it wouldn't get any cheaper.

After that it's T9 or Mt75. Neither are cheap now.

Yeah, it was the 6 speed I was looking at. I'll take a look at the ratios on the 5.

And the mx5 box looks tiny.
