After owning the car for 6 months ive just done a oil and filter change on the westie and unsure on oil level, i checked it before and the old oil was about 6-7 mm above the max mark on the dipstick.
Ive filled it to max now and everything seems ok ie oil pressure and no noises and been for a short drive. Should i overfill like before or keep it on the max mark.

Engine is a toyota 4age 1.6 16v

How much oil did you put in it and has it got a std sump it it has 3.3ltr is the capacity but you can over fill to 3.5ltrs helpful if your doing trackdays

Its a modified sump, ive put about 4.5 litres in and its on the max mark now

If it’s on the max keep it at that
