hi guys,
Looking at getting a gasket kit to re-build my silver top.
But I saw the comment on the head gasket part "Head Gasket Fibre Faced With A Steel Core - Not For Engines Manufactured After May 1998 With Multi
Layered Steel Head Gaskets"
Below is the link to the part.

My block is away at the moment so no engine number. Is there a way to identify from the cylinder head or the old head gasket which type I have?
Basically Silvertop or Blacktop. Blacktops used the multilayer shims. Either way I would go for a brandname or a gen ford gasket.
Ive never had a problem with Victor Reinz.
Hi ya,
What about this one?

If yours is a silvertop then yes, I’ve used the firm as well and been happy.
