Anyone know of the pitfalls in using a X type donor engine instead of the S type?
You won’t get the engine mounts.
Different sump, probably a good thing.
Different Inlet.
There is a large lump of pig iron in the “V” used for the transverse engine mount that you can’t remove with out taking a head of.
A question for you being a Tvr guy is there much call for the old 2.8 Cologne ? And any ideas on what money they fetch and good places to advertise
one please ?

Pretty sure the xtype uses the water pump off the camshaft like the ST220 does, not sure if you can remove it and black it off or if it needs a cam swap erc

I'm no expert in these things, but isn't the Jag X-Type based on the Ford Mondeo of the same era?
