Cat fitting

I am looking at the cheapest possible way of getting as much BHP into my Luego XT chassis as possible. One of the engines I am thinking of is the Duratec with bike throttle bodies and a megajolt system. If I were to use such a new engine then I presume that I will need a cat for the exhaust system for SVA and I am interested to know how I could fit one to a '7' type car without it looking shocking? What is the usual route for this?

Cheers
Steve

One way is to get the car through the SVA with a cheaper, quicker installation engine from pre '95, a pinto perhaps. Then at some later date upgrade to something like a Duratec with the exhaust coming out the same side. To the best of my knowledge the car will retain its original emmissions requirements. I would expect that the Duratec would be better on emmisions than the pinto without a cat. So everyones happy

Perhaps someone could advise if this is not the case regarding emmision requirements.

Cheers,

Colin

Put anything old in, and get a Q plate.
Problem solved.
