Drove the car to work this morning and i have a link pipe from 4 pipes into my single pipe. Its slides on and has 2 springs to ensure it doesnt come apart.

It has come apart a bit, its slid down about 20mm so i can see the cut in the link pipe so its blowing like mad.

Im going to pull it apart after i drive home but will try and push.hit it back on for now. its there is no gasket there do people just usually put some paste to seal properly?

Its also popping really loudly at low rpm i assume its because the back pressure is now doing weird things. Driving into town at 30mph when i let off the throttle it was like a shotgun.

update borrowed a hammer from the carpenter and tappped it back in, now a small blow but hopefully wont affect drive home.

They are generally an interference fit held in place by the spring.
I would check the silencer mounting point to see if somethings moved their.
If you want to seal the joints you can use everyday silicone. Just smear a small amount in the link collector before you insert your primaries.
Then let the silicone set.

Feel quiete a loss in power with it blowing again on the way home assume it’s that and not something else unrelated, it seems to have slid off again. I’m going to disassemble inspect and reassemble.

I would use silicon sealant, must be clear, to seal the joint.

I think the problem is the exhaust its pulling backwards to pulling away from the joint. It came loose on the way home and then i pulled it fully apart and hit on the downpipe to secure it but it pulled off again (no sealant). My current concern is even if i use sealant its just going to pull itself off again.

it sounds like a tractor, massive loss of power. I hope the loss of power is just this as it runs fine apart from that and all the vaccum lines and pipes are all where they are suppose to be,

You need to work out why the exhaust is coming apart.
Either the silencer or the engine is moving too much

is your engine falling off...?

My link pipe is linked to the manifold only by exhaust springs. . . they stretched and were to weak. New exhaust springs and some exhaust assembly paste and i have it fixed!
