Hydraulic vs Mechanical Clutch?

Ok so I've got a few potiental engine/tranny donors in mind.

The Toyota 1.8L 3TC (T50 gearbox) has a hydraulic clutch were as the Mitsu 1.6L 4 banger has a mechnical (cable) one. Is there one type that is easier/better to fit in book sized chassis?

So why are you not using a ford prefect donor?

Probably the hydraulic is easiest to fit.

Rotate the clutch arm to the vertical and cut a new mount hole in top of bellhousing or go for a co-axial clutch release.
