can i swap the flywheel on a1300xflow for one from a 1100 mk2 fester so i can run a pre engaged starter and type 9?????

Strongly suspect not --- the fwd and rwd xflo flywheels are different and the Fiestas 1100 Valencia engine is from a different (but related) engine family.

The type 9 box isn't a problem a 3 bolt inertia starter will work with it and the 7.5" clutch unit from an early 1300/1600 Sierra 4 speed will work (take care 2 types of 4 speed Sierra clutch).

If you really want an pre-enage starter change the ring gear.
