Haven't looked into the costs yet but I'm considering chroming my home made exhaust manifold.
Any idea if chroming would be ok with exhaust temperatures or is it gonna come off?
The Sunday Times review of the new Harley Davidson mentioned chromed exhausts so presumably it *can* work but for all I know they may have made a
mistake and meant stainless.
Thanks,
James

My old bike had chromed exhausts (the whole thing inc manifolds). - they did turn blue-grey, but the chrome didn't come off.

If its done properly, it should stay on!
have you thought about "cermakrome" coating from camcoat, its chrome with will go up to 1000c
camcoat
Have not tried them but they look good from the website
Should be alright on a Pinto...
Flaw in chroming is the nickel that goes on before the chrom, heats and loosens the coating.
On a modern bike engine - 800-1000 could be seen at the top of the manifold...
