Will I get a 1998 zetec to pass emissions if its running carbs and a Kat??????

It is poss to do but you will need to buy a cat designed to run with carbs and use a setup with an air bleed system, it can be done but not easy. I think the cat would have to be removed and replaced for each MOT as they don't last long on carbs due to the poor fuel/air metering.Your best bet is to do it properly with injection, or get a pre"95 engine.

The cat replacment is not a prob as if its anything like my bike it will only see 500 miles a year..And the kat's a bit like the standard exhaust
can on the bike ,It will only see 1 day use a year
As far as i know the air bleed uses small bore platic tube with a fish tank valve to bleed air into a hole drilled into the carb throat. Opening the
valve will allow more air to weaken the mixture and drop the emissions, a bit hit and miss thought!
