We have the bellhousing. We have almost sorted the (Saab) slave cylinder. We still need a spigot bearing. O/D 23mm I/D 15mm. Any suggestions before I trundle off to the local stockists for some bronze to machine????
I think the bronze is easiest option!
Alfa to T9 bellhousing.
Where is such a thing to be found ?
Trev Borg has one for a long shaft T9 box from a XR4i and I have one for a shorty shaft T9 from a crusty old Sierra of some sort. Thats it I think. Just the two bellhousings for now
Did i mention how white yours looks
You know it's my fave colour
Hand fabricated ?
I used my feet and a nammer
Boom tish........
Oh yes. I also used a boom tish. And a drum roll. And a bread roll.
I FOUND ROLLER BEARINGS FOR SPIGOT!!!!
It's amazing what you can do with a bearing catalogue
Have I ever told you how much I love you.
Yes Mr Trev. You have.
Jacko wants to know if you're coming to the christening??? Is this the sort of questions you find on here?
What time and where ?
Then all the locost builders can come aswell.
You are all invited, bring wine woman and song !!!!!
Whining women and snog!!!!
Jackos' ouse, about 12, 12-45ish.....
A gadgy at work is breaking his Saab 9000 so I'm robbing his CRB/slave. But he wants to keep it in one peice til he has sold the engine
sounds like a plan
I've got a 2 ltr 1979 from and Alfetta GT that I want to use in my next build.
David.
I have a 2litre motor out of an '80s Guilletta kicking around that I've been thinking about, I'd need a flywheel as well though, as the one on it is for the transaxle set up so there's no clutch.
All the alfa engine are great, and very cheap cos the rest of the car tends to rot.
I can not see why more people don't use them.
I suppose once we have ironed out a few problems, there may be a bit more interest
We're using the 3ltr v6 device out of 164's. They are cheap and look nice!!
