pinto flywheel

I'm rebuilding my 2.0 ltr pinto at the moment. Its a 205 block. It needed a flywheel so I picked up a flywheel from a scrap 205 block in a breakers. It might have been from a transit though ! Are all flywheels the same ? Will it give me problem mating to the gearbox ?

if its chrome plated it might not last too long

IIRC the transit had a heavier flywheel

size-wise it should be OK though

due to the nature of the engine you really want a lightened flywheel (preferably professionally done)

I know the transit flywheel is heavier, how do I identify if mine is a transit one. Could someone tell me the weight of a standard pinto flywheel, then I could weigh mine and see if its overweight !

will try to weigh the one i have in the garage tonight (it's a standard 2.0 EFi one)

cheers

I'd be grateful, been on holiday since then, so I haven't had a chance to make any progress on the tiger ! Such are the demands of Husband/Dad etc. ! you know how it is. The Tiger is always in the bottom of the priority pile according to er indoors !
